I'm often asked how easy/difficult it is to start with a ScootPump/Foilscoot.
Most people have "only" seen actual pump foiling and how difficult the start is. With the ScootPump, it's completely different.
Personally, I don't even start, as the acceleration from passing is completely sufficient, but let's take things one step at a time.
One of the most important things is your posture, you have to stand wide and upright (not bent over)
Then pull the board backwards by the handlebars
When you are ready, pull the board forward. The faster you pull the board forward, the more buoyancy the foil has. This is different for everyone, depending on body weight and foil size.
At the end, you simply step over onto the board. It is important that you step over with your back leg first.
And then start pumping ;-)
